Celebrating 75 Years of Legacy and One Year of the NIQUEA.D Boutique

Tucked away in the heart of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, the NIQUEA.D boutique stands as a living tribute to 75 years of creativity, craftsmanship, and heartfelt connection. Rooted in the legacy of the Schurman family, the boutique brings to life decades of passion for exquisite paper, meaningful gifts, and community. From the founding of Schurman Fine Papers in 1950 to the elegant experience of today’s NIQUEA.D brand, every detail in the boutique reflects a journey shaped by artistry, tradition, and love.

A Look Back: The Story Behind the Legacy

1950: Marcel Schurman founded the Schurman Fine Paper Co., setting out on global “treasure hunts” to find and import the most exquisite stationery and paper goods from around the world.
1973: Margrit Schurman opened the first Papyrus store in Berkeley, California—a single shop that would blossom into over 450 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
1982: Dominique Schurman joined the family business in 1982, so when she founded the NIQUEA.D brand in 2020, where she drew on decades of wisdom from her extensive retail and brand-building experience, it was no surprise.
Creating and building premium brands such as Papyrus, Paper Destiny, Marcel Schurman, and others led to an exciting project across the pond in the United Kingdom. It was there that Dominique served as the CEO during the rebranding of Clintons of London in 2012.
2025: The NIQUEA.D Lifestyle Brand operates globally on all commercial channels offering the complete brand assortment online, in store and across retailers in the United States and Canada
